Job Description

Job Summary and Responsibilities
The preferred candidate should have a solid career background working with and on the AUTOCAD and/or SOLIDWORKS modelling platforms and demonstrate the ability to work in a professional team environment. Upon selection, the candidate will support various ongoing projects to gain familiarization with the ES programs and processes. Longer term, the individual will help the organization develop “Best Practices” guidelines for Project modelling efforts and BIM integration into project processes.
  • Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to Drafting and CAD Modelling support required for the following project departments:
    • Reactor Vessel (RV) / Reactor Vessel Internal (RVI) cutting and packaging plans (CPPs)
    • Final Status Survey (FSS) / License Termination Plan (LTP) survey maps
    • Plant Operating system drawing configuration control
    • D&D Cold & Dark power installations (electrical one-line drawings)
    • Engineering design changes
    • Building isolation detailing for Work Control
    • Management Awareness postings/Notices/Goals, etc.
    • Configuration Control
  • The preferred candidate should have the skillset to manage subcontracted drafting/modeling efforts, including the development of standards and criteria for ES and outside organizations to use including:
    • Standards for file sharing and integration into the project BIM
    • Management and organization of BIM data within ES
    • Determination of the level of training required for multidisciplinary personnel on a project to successfully utilize the BIM using Navisworks or other viewing tools.

Job Requirements
  • Solid operating and user knowledge of AUTOCAD or SOLIDWORKS (other system experience may be considered)
  • Minimum of 5 years active 3D modeling experience demonstrating a range of assignments
  • Require a multi-disciplinary knowledge of modeling usage and have the ability to interact and work with multi-disciplinary work groups
  • Be able to develop and maintain project schedules
  • Work with minimum supervision

Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Ability to carry up to 10 pounds; handle and reach below shoulder
  • Ability to use hands to accomplish tasks as assigned
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb and bend/stoop
  • Ability to effectively communicate; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location
  • Ability to see close and distance and basic colors/shades
  • Ability to work inside an office, outside and in extreme temperatures
  • Ability to work with moving objects/hazardous machines and slippery/uneven walking surfaces
  • Ability to work alone and work with others
  • Ability to drive a vehicle and travel overnight; perform under deadline pressure
