Site Manager (SM) Nuclear The Site Manager will report to the Regional Director and interface with the Power Station Sr. Leadership team to include Maintenance, Projects, Radiation Protection, Site Security, and other station support organizations. This position will include site management of online, outage, planned and emergent scopes of work on an assigned operating nuclear power generation site. The Site Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identification of first-time evolutions and significant work activities
Ensuring sufficient qualified personnel are available to execute assigned work tasks
Command and control of first-time evolutions
Direct responsibility for day-to-day operations at an assigned site
Supervising the sites staff
Ownership of the site Safety Program
Coordinating direct hire of personnel, staff and craft
Oversight of subcontractors on site
Management of assigned scope of work
Primary interface with station management staff on a daily basis
Interface and hold meetings with the Site VP and/or Plant Manager on a scheduled basis
Continuous identification of cost reduction measures
Identifying opportunities for improvement
Participating in the development and implementation of solutions to productivity issues
Accountability for all site safety and ALARA goals and objectives
Leading by example
Spending considerable amount of time in the field observing work activities
Participating in Work Observation Programs
Identifying barriers to success and aggressively pursuing permanent changes to increase productivity
Being proactive in efforts to achieve performance improvement goals
Working to ensure supervisory administrative burdens are kept as low as reasonably achievable
Having an understanding of labor contracts and labor management
Responsibility for financial reporting
Supervising and monitoring work controls process for site tasks and activities
Maintaining a current listing of all contractors, subcontractors, and consultants on site. This list will include after-hours emergency notification, pager, cell phone, address, and alternate contacts
Ensuring activities are conducted in accordance with the design documents. The Site Manager has the authority to stop work at any time when it is determined that the work is below quality or when continuation threatens the design integrity or safety of the structure, or when work practices threaten the safety of the workers
Managing site safety standards set by the company and the client.
Requirements
10+ years Nuclear Maintenance Management
Strong technical knowledge of major component replacements, work processes, and equipment utilized in the nuclear industry

The essential functions of this position consist of spending long periods of time in the physical activities of standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, stooping, bending and crouching as required.
Work may also be performed in adverse environmental conditions such as confined spaces, high temperature areas, and elevated heights.
The prevailing physical demands this position is low to medium.
The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee is required to don the appropriate personal protective equipment while traversing an industrial environment requiring various degrees of protection.
