Job Description

Position Summary

We are actively seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator with extensive experience in nuclear/industrial construction and modification projects to join our high-performance team. This is a long-term, full-time position offering a competitive compensation package, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits.
As a key member of our estimating department, the Senior Electrical Estimator will be responsible for developing detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical scopes within complex nuclear projects. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful project planning and competitive proposal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical systems in nuclear/industrial construction and modification projects.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to accurately define labor, material, and equipment requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and other stakeholders to gather and validate estimating inputs.
  • Prepare pricing strategies and proposal narratives that align with client requirements and company objectives.
  • Maintain, enhance, and utilize internal cost databases, historical data, and benchmarking resources.
  • Apply advanced Excel skills to build dynamic estimating models and support detailed analysis.
  • Support value engineering, constructability reviews, and risk assessments to drive competitiveness and accuracy.
  • Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, meet internal deadlines, and support successful proposal submittals.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 15 years of construction experience, with a focus on electrical systems in industrial and/or nuclear environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, one-lines, schematics, and specifications.
  • Proven track record in cost estimating and proposal development, particularly within nuclear, DOE, or large industrial sectors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of advanced formulas, data tools, and formatting for estimating purposes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-accuracy deliverables.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple disciplines.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
