Job Summary Works with finance, operational and administrative organizations to ensure that the business is operating efficiently and profitably through the use of analytical tools and the interpretation of operational metrics. Ensures that budgets, forecasts and financial results are presented in conformity with corporate direction and policy.
Job Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities
Works with business groups to develop budgets/forecasts and to review actual performance.
Provides general business advice to operations counterparts.
Serves as a liaison between accounting and operations.
Reviews and interprets complex financial data received from financial and operations leaders.
Prepares detailed monthly analysis of overhead functions that contain meaningful analysis of costs and variances to budgets/forecasts.
Establishes and maintains a tracking system for efficient monthly analysis.
Prepares departmental budgets and forecasts. Provides analysis of departmental results of operations.
May train new lower level team members
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree requiredin business, accounting or finance
Certifications
None required
Required Experience
A minimum of 2 years experience in financial analysis
Preferred Experience
Experience with SQL and/or VBA preferred
3 years of finance experience
Required and Desired Skills
Intermediate Excel skills with demonstrated increasing levels of proficiency
Ability to perform more difficult analyses
Strong written and verbal communication skills
General knowledge of Generally Accepted Account Principles (GAAP)
General knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem solution skills
A natural orientation for continuous improvement and problem solving
Sharp organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to produce consistent quality under deadline pressure while paying careful attention to detail
