Job Summary
Responsible for all logistics aspectes of the processes and operations of assigned internatinal waste management project. Responsible for coordinating a; logistics demands of project stakholder and ensuring that project is completed on time and according to customer requirements.

Job Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities
  • Interprets international transport regulations and policies to assist all stakholders, as required, from EU domestic transport to Ocean transport to US domestic transport through to US customs requirments including tariffs.
  • Leads the logistics management of all Internatiponal business projects while facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables; imcluding;
  • Advising on logistics requirements to internal and external stakeholder
  • Assist with preparation, tracking, and monitoring of required import/export/transit permits
  • Perform pre-submission review of all export documentation
  • Assist with coordination of inland transportation from origin facilities to marine terminals.
  • Track in-transit shipment status and communicate updates to internal stakeholders
  • Manage documentation for customs import clearance and tariff compliance
  • Escalate holds, delays, or discrepancies to authorized personnel within Energy Solutions or Customer contacts
  • Support collection of cargo including interface with sea port from marine terminals following customs release
  • Confirm delivery completion and provide shipment status close-out reporting
  • Maintain organized shipment records and supporting documentation.
  • Manage coordination of containers returns to customer origin
  • Responsible for developing internal relationships with EnergySolutions logistics service providers and assisting the service providers as required, and being the primary contact for International shipments
  • Responsible for developing  external relationships with customer logistics teams, sea ports, road haulers, ocean liners and customs brokers, and being the primary contact for International shipments
  • Reviews existing procedures and prepares revisions and checklist updates to incorporate transport regulatory requirements and changes as well as customer driven revisions.
  • Ensures that all activities are performed safely and in accordance with applicable Department of Transportation, Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Occupational Safety & Health Administration standards, state requirements and all applicable client procedures, permits and licenses by verbatim compliance to applicable project documentation
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
Certifications
 
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in logistics
  • Previous project management experience
Preferred Experience
  • 5 years logistics experience in the transport of radioactive material
  • Road (US CFR49 & ADR) and sea (IMDG) modal transport certification

Required and Desired Skills
  • Working knowledge regarding the use of shipping software
  • Detailed Knowledge of NRC, DOT, IMDG & ADR regulations
  • Familiarity with  Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD) and/or commercial utility waste management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products
