Job Summary Introductory position with the intent of providing basic instruction and on-the-job training to be a Licensing Engineer with future potential advancement through the Licensing positions. Primarily responsible for license and regulatory compliance activities, such as preparing licensing documentation and submittals, supporting regulatory inspections, researching regulatory documents and guides, drafting regulatory position briefings, ensuring timely and adequate reporting to regulatory agencies. Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with all requirements, protocols, etc. Perform actions as defined by the Licensing Manager.
Job Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities
Become familiar with Licensing documentation, correspondence and administrative activities.
Become familiar with regulatory requirements, codes, standards, and NRC Regulatory Guides for decommissioning.
Become familiar with the licensing basis documents for the site.
Review regulatory documents (Safety Evaluation Reports, Request for Additional Information, etc.) and prepare summary of information for Leadership.
Work with Licensing Manager to develop regulatory positions for use by senior management and others, as requested.
Review Project documents for regulatory compliance.
Prepare initial drafts of regulatory submittals in accordance with appropriate regulations and regulatory requirements.
Develop regulatory correspondence.
Researche licensing documentation and present results orally and in writing.
Provide results of reviews to various groups regarding regulatory findings and/or governmental agencies findings.
Work with Financial Department to prepare regulatory submittals, develop public presentations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Support the Corrective Action Program (CAP)
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or technical area
High School graduate may be acceptable based on other life experience supporting the area(s) of responsibility
