Job Summary Oversees all regulatory interactions for a facility or project. Leads all licensing and permitting initiatives. Ensures compliance with all existing licenses and permits at a facility to guarantee that the company can continue to receive waste.
Job Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities
Is responsible for all regulatory interactions regarding a facility or project.
Communicates with state and federal regulators in meetings and by phone and letter.
Provides the necessary support to ensure that all technical concerns are addressed.
Coordinates directly with state and federal regulators.
Leads all licensing and permitting initiatives by providing oversight and by writing licenses and permits.
Ensures compliance with all existing licenses or permits at a given facility by tracking licenses and permits or requiring a direct report to track them.
Provides technical support to the Communications team in drafting communications for the general public regarding regulatory issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree requiredin science or engineering
A master’s degree is preferred
Certifications
Professional certification (e.g. Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist) preferred
Required Experience
A minimum of 15 years experience with at least 8 years of project management experience

Required and Desired Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regulators
Detailed knowledge of environmental regulation
Strong presentation and negotiation skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Intermediate skills in interpreting modeling results provided by consultants
